Day 5: Germany

Today we visited the Koln Cathedral (Cologne) at mass. Built in the 1200s. Then we drove to Boppard to get in the boat for our Rhine river cruise. Got to see a lot of castles. Then onto the quaint Bavarian town of Heidelburg. here are pics of the castles and the cathedral.

Day 4: Belgium

We left London on a ferry. Those are the white walls of Dover. Briefly in France and on to Belgium. We had lunch in Bruge and then on to Brussels. Toured in the evening and then a lovely group dinner.

Out of 24, 6 are American. Mostly Australian and Canadian.

Day 3: Day in London

Big Ben, Albert Hall. changing of the guard all very cool. But favorite part of the day was riding the London eye. Could see for miles and miles...

Day 2: London in the evening Having camera problems. Oh well...

Fish and chips as well as bangers and mash. Struggled through it somehow (yeah, right). Good beer too.

We are going to Europe!

The four of us have spent decades working and raising our kids. The way we figure it, it is our turn to go play. On September 26th, we will get on a plane headed towards London. More to come!
